What:

Pack 4 funds all of our activities and activity supplies thru annual Candy Sales.  We do Candy Sales over other kinds of fundraising activities for many reasons.

We do our fundraising early in the year so we have money to pay for what we do all year long (including over the summer!).  Not only do the Candy Sales fund us for the upcoming year, they also are fun for the Scouts as well as a way for them to develop skills and confidence they will be able to use the rest of their lives.

We ask that each Cub Scout sell 2 boxes of candy bars.  The Pack gets $.50 on each $1 we take in with the other $.50 going to Hebert.  In addition to this we have a few "All Hands" type of events scheduled in September where each Cub Scout particpates to sell candy and have some fun.

When & Where:

We are selling on 3 separate Saturdays in September:

September 15th

Wal-Mart - 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

St. Marys Credit Union - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

September 22nd

Hudson Post Office - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Robinsons Hardware - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

September 29th

Stop & Shop - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

These events will be held light rain or shine (but we cannot hold them without Scouts!)

Cost:

We are asking each Cub Scout to sign up for at least a 2 hour time slot so we can adequately cover all the locations all the time.  To sign up for an available timeslot (see below) simply send an email with your date and time (and location if on the 22nd) to Candy_Sales (Do not forget to take phrase "$NO$SPAM$" (including the dollar signs!!) out from the email addresses or the link will not work!)

Miscellaneous Information / Guidelines:

• All Cubs should be in uniform (hats optional but highly recommend if outdoors)
• Be courteous and do not badger the customers!
• Only approach customers after they have exited the store/building
• A simple "Would you like to buy a candy bar for the Cub Scouts" is adequate
• If a person purchases a candy bar, say "Thank you"
• If a person does not purchase a candy bar, say "Thank you anyway"
